YiQiao Gao, born in Chongqing, China, commenced the piano journey at the age of four. She received Bachelor and Master's degrees in Sichuan Conservatory of Music in China. Now she is pursuing a doctorate degree in piano performance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory in the United States. She received a scholarship and studied with the professor of piano and keyboard area, Dr. Thomas Rosenkranz, and the legendary American pianist Professor Robert Weirich. She is also a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), a member of the Sichuan Piano Society, and a member of the Asian International Pianist Federation.

 

In 2006, she was admitted to the Middle School Affiliated to the Piano Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music and studied with Professor Xiaoling Li, a famous pianist and educator in China. In 2012 and 2016, she was admitted to the Piano Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music as an undergraduate and graduate student with excellent results respectively, and successfully held two personal piano solo concerts. She has won the National Scholarship and the title of Top Student every year, and has achieved outstanding results in domestic and foreign piano competitions, including: the Third place in the Liszt Etude Group of the 16th Hong Kong-Asian Piano Competition in 2011, Gold Medal in the Municipal Piano Competition in 2016, Silver Medal in the Second Society Cup Sichuan Provincial Piano Competition in 2016, Third Prize in the Chongqing Division of the 13th China Music Golden Bell Award in 2021, First Prize in the Piano Professional Group of the Sichuan Division of the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music International Music Competition in 2021 Prizes, etc.

 

She has served as a judge for the Chongqing Division of the 2023 Sixth Liszt International Piano Competition, an examiner for the Chongqing Wanling Examination District for the 2023 China Opera and Dance Theater National Social Arts Level Examination, a judge for the Chongqing Division of the 2021 Fifth Steinberg National Piano Competition, a Judge for the preliminary round of the Sichuan Division of the 2017 "Mendelssohn" International Piano Competition, a judge for the finals of the 3rd LuNeng Group Talent Competition in 2020, a judge for the Leshan Division of the 2017 "Voice of Harmony" National Youth Piano Competition, and a judge for China's "Art Education Star" Art Exhibition Competition Chengdu Competition area, etc. At the same time, she has long served as a piano collaborator for Chinese traditional music, vocal music, orchestral music, etc. In addition, she is active in international piano art festivals and master classes, such as: 2024 New York ACIMA International Music Festival, 2021 the 13th International Chinese Arts Festival, 2019 Italy Amalfi Art Festival, 2017 International Piano Art Week in Sichuan Conservatory of Music, the 2017 Chongqing Jiulongpo District International Piano Art Festival, etc., in where she received high praises from world-famous piano masters Liu Shikun, Gary Graffman, Ernest Barretta, Anton Nel, Boaz Sharon, Ursula Oppens, etc.

 

While studying for a doctoral degree in piano performance, she won first place in Missouri in the MTNA Young Artist Competition Piano Competition, and was invited to participate in news recordings in Kansas City, Missouri, and a concert commemorating piano master Vladimir Horowitz. In December 2023, she was invited to hold a four-hand concert at Shanghai Cadillac Concert Hall, as well as lectures and chamber music concerts at Leshan Normal University. At the same time, many solo piano recitals, lecture concerts and chamber music concerts were successfully held.

高艺侨，留美钢琴博士，全美音乐教师（MTNA）协会会员，四川省钢琴学会会员，亚洲国际钢琴家联合会会员。现攻读美国密苏里大学堪萨斯音乐学院钢琴博士学位，并获全额奖学金，师从系主任Thomas Rosenkranz教授与美国传奇钢琴家Robert Weirick教授。

 

2006年考入四川音乐学院钢琴系附中，师从我国著名钢琴演奏家、教育家李晓玲教授。2012年和2016年分别以优异的成绩考入川音钢琴系本科与研究生并成功举办了两场个人钢琴独奏音乐会。连续每年荣获国家奖学金、尖子生称号，并在国内外钢琴比赛中获得优异成绩，包括：2011年第十六届香港亚洲钢琴公开赛李斯特练习曲组第三名、2016年京津沪渝四直辖市钢琴比赛金奖、2016年第二届学会杯四川省钢琴比赛银奖、2021年第十三届中国音乐金钟奖重庆赛区三等奖、2021年圣彼得堡音乐学院国际音乐大赛四川赛区钢琴专业组一等奖等。

 

曾担任2023第六届李斯特国际钢琴公开赛重庆赛区评委、2023年中国歌剧舞剧院全国社会艺术水平考级重庆万灵考区主考官、2021第五届斯坦伯格全国钢琴大赛重庆赛区评委、第七届“门德尔松”国际钢琴比赛四川赛区初赛评委、2020第三届鲁能集团才艺大赛总决赛评审、2017“和谐之音”全国青少年钢琴比赛乐山赛区评委、中国“艺教之星”艺术展演比赛成都赛区评委等。与此同时，长期担任民乐、声乐、管弦乐等钢琴艺术指导。除此之外，活跃于国际钢琴艺术节、大师班，如：2024纽约美华ACIMA国际音乐节、2021第十三届国际华人艺术节、2019意大利阿玛菲Amalfi艺术节、四川音乐学院第三届国际钢琴艺术周、2017重庆九龙坡区国际钢琴艺术节等，受到世界著名钢琴大师刘诗昆、格拉夫曼（Gary Graffman）、尔尼斯特·巴瑞塔（Ernest Barretta）、安东·内尔（Anton Nel）、波阿兹·沙龙（Boaz Sharon）、欧彭斯（Ursula Oppens）等诸多音乐家的悉心指导并获得一致好评。

 

2019年获得全美音乐教师协会（MTNA Young Artist Competition）钢琴比赛密苏里州第一名，并受邀参加密苏里州堪萨斯城新闻录制、纪念钢琴大师霍洛维茨（Vladimir Horowitz）音乐会等。2023年12月受邀在上海凯迪拉克音乐厅举办四手联弹音乐会，以及在乐山师范学院举办讲座及室内乐音乐会。成功举办多场博士钢琴独奏音乐会、讲演音乐会以及室内乐音乐会。
